Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

NexusIDX operates hosted websites for real estate professionals. This policy explains how we handle personal information under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial laws.

2. Information we collect

Account holders: name, email, password (stored hashed by our authentication provider), brokerage, province, licence or CREA ID, phone and billing details.

Website visitors on agent sites: information they submit in forms (name, email, phone, message), saved favourites and searches, and basic usage data such as pages viewed.

3. How we use it

To provide and secure the Service, deliver leads to the agent whose site received them, send account and service emails, prevent abuse, and improve the product. We do not sell personal information.

4. Agents and their leads

When a visitor contacts an agent through an agent website, the agent controls that lead information and is responsible for how they use it. We process it on the agent's behalf to operate the Service.

5. Service providers

We use trusted providers for hosting, databases, email delivery, security and bot protection (for example Cloudflare). They may process data outside your province or Canada under contractual safeguards.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and protect forms from abuse. We do not use advertising cookies on the Service.

7. Retention and security

We keep information while your account is active and as needed for legal obligations, then delete or anonymise it. We use encryption in transit, access controls and monitoring to protect data.

8. Your rights

You may request access to or correction of your personal information, or withdraw consent, by contacting [email protected]. We will respond within the time required by law.

Signed-in buyers and staff can delete their account (favourites, saved searches, and login) via POST /api/account/delete. Realtor owner accounts must email [email protected] so the website is closed without orphaning the tenant.

9. Commercial electronic messages (CASL)

Newsletter sign-up requires express consent. Inquiry forms ask for consent to be contacted about that request. Each marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe.
